Why buy Emergen-C rather than cheap alternatives?

We have been asked in the past what benefit Emergen-C poses over cheaper alternative products.

When you walk into the supermarket and you see those tubes of effervescent vitamin C tablets going for just a few pounds, it may be tempting to throw one in the trolley.

While the comparative benefits of Emergen-C depend on exactly which product it is being compared to, here are the major underlying reasons to stick with us:

1. We don't put any dangerous sweeteners in our products. Unlike the commonly seen 'Berocca', we don't use Asapartame, and we don't use any sources of phenylalanine. You will also notice those cheap tubes you can grab in Tesco's contain Saccharin- it may help with your cold, but increases your risk of cancer while it's at it.

2. We use the right balance of B vitamins. Your body cannot easily absorb vitamin C. It needs B vitamins in certain quantities to help it actually absorb the Vitmain C. Without those B vitamins, a good quantity of that C goes right through the system.Most off-the-shelf C products don't come with any B vitamins at all, meaning that Vitmain C isn't actually getting where your body needs it.

3. You get a lot of vitamins in a box of Emergen-C. If you work it out based on vitamin C per £ cost, EmergenC is actually 30% cheaper than Berocca. The cost of a box may be 3 times the price, but you get 4 times the vitamin C!

4. We taste better! We don't see the supermarket offering a friendly choice of flavours, just orange and more orange. We however let you pick exactly what you want it to taste like.
